Specificaly for the FS-2000 Rio de Janeiro scenery, it will be necessary to include two "flattening switches" in the scenery.cfg file, according to the following example:
[Area.073]
Title=Brasil
Local=C:\MSFSIM\BRASIL\SCENERY
Active=TRUE
Layer=73
Flatten.0=9.84,S22 55.26,W43 20.06,S22 56.08,W43 7.52,S22 59.5,W43 11.06,S23 1.09,W43 18.91
Flatten.1=9.84,S22 57.60,W43 30.07,S23 01.90,W43 30.07,S23 01.90,W43 17.41,S22 57.60,W43 17.41
Localize the correspondent [Area.XXX] from your scenery and include the two last lines
of the above example.
Now, it is necessary to deactivate the original FS2000 files that contain the wrong shore line definitions for South America. See here the complete list of the discardable files.
From now on, every time you want to fly over these sceneries, just go to "(World, Go to) Airports", choose the State and the desired airport. FS-98 and FS-2K users can now use the Airport/Facility Directory menu.
You will also find here some sceneries from other authors which enrich in details some few cities. In order to avoid conflicts and superpositions we always provide exclusion files for each of them. In case you decide to use these files, load them to a new directory and put it one layer up. For example, put our directory in layer 00002 and the other auhors' directory in layer 00001.
